    I searched for a particular vehicle online via car gurus.com. I came across Shottenkirk Toyota and they had what I needed. I sent a message online and salesman Ben Huxtable replied to it. He texted and emailed me. Long story short, I flew to Texas from Mississippi and the process was seamless. He took me for a test drive and made sure the car was exactly what I wanted. Ben made sure it was clean and with a full tank of gas. He was very nice and easy to talk to. The rest of the staff I encountered were nice as well. If I ever need another I’ll be contacting Ben Huxtable. Go see him yall. I love my 2023 Camry XSE.

    I had one of the most frustrating dealership experiences I’ve ever dealt with, and it felt like a classic bait-and-switch situation. I called ahead and spoke with a salesman named Ben, who assured me the specific vehicle I was interested in would be ready for a test drive when I arrived. Based on that, I drove an hour to the dealership expecting a straightforward experience. Instead, before even seeing the car, I was asked a series of unnecessary questions about things like my credit and what kind of monthly payment I wanted. I made it very clear that I wasn’t there to discuss financing yet — I simply wanted to see and test drive the vehicle first. I even said we could talk numbers if I decided I liked the car. After providing my driver’s license and repeating that we were there for one specific vehicle, we were left waiting while the salesperson went to “get the car.” Instead of returning with the vehicle, he came back with a manager and suddenly claimed they couldn’t locate the car or the keys — yet also said it hadn’t been sold. That makes absolutely no sense. This is unacceptable business practice. If you confirm a vehicle is available and promise it will be ready, customers should not be met with excuses after driving an hour. It completely wasted our time and gas. Very disappointing experience. I would strongly recommend others not to rely on what they’re told over the phone and think twice before making the trip here.

    These people appeared nice at first, but I am now realizing they (i.e., Danielle Schwerdt and Justin Bateman) lied to my face to get me to pay an additional $1,995 for no additional value. I had driven over an hour to this location because I saw a CPO car online for a fair price. I told them I did not want any of their warranties or extra add-ons. They insisted that the manufacturer would provide multiple years of extended warranty if I paid an additional $1,995. I eventually agreed, only to find out after signing the documents via researching online that I had been lied to. That extended CPO warranty was already part of the car! It is unclear to me why car dealerships can get away with this kind of deceit in the name of making money. Hopefully this review helps a few people go in better prepared than I was.

    We came for a certified pre-owned 2024 Sienna and Greg Griffin was a great sales guy! However, I wish that the finance people we worked with had been as clear and honest as Greg— after being told that in order to get the CPO warranty we would have to pay an extra $2000 (which we did, assuming we wouldn’t get the warranty otherwise), we came home and did some research only to suspect that the certified pre-owned warranty was guaranteed by Toyota and we didn’t need to pay extra for it. For that reason I can’t recommend the dealership as a whole even though not everyone we worked with was bad.

    2 stars because everyone was pleasant while they were trying to swindle us. And the dealership is clean. Bathrooms nice. And we were offered water about 12 times. Bait and switch. The posted price isn't the actual price. They'll add several thousand in dealer options that are blatantly ridiculous. Ceramic coating for $1000+...on a 6 year old car that has scratches and dings. Dealer tinting that isn't worth half of real tinting work. $895 VIP package for optional service...but if you don't want optional service too bad. And if you get the extended warranty now you've paid 2x for that power train warranty...On a 20K used car it's well over 10% more than the advertised price. If you're shopping around they're banking on you getting so tired of shopping you give in. When you push back they say "Oh that $895 is on the website."😅😅😅 Well sure if you get out a magnifying glass and read the 82 line wall of text at the bottom. Reputable, honorable companies don't try to hide things. And then the audacity to say, "Every dealer does this."...no it's called a hustle and not every dealer does this. We've purchased quite a few cars at this point. No, all dealers do not try to sneak $2500 on to every single used car. Let's not even talk about the fact that there aren't enough people working in the make-ready department. So when you get there for your 2nd appointment to sign paperwork it still has to be washed and detailed. After we pushed back and had some of the excessive extras removed they acted like they were doing us a favor by having us sit for 45 minutes so they could wash it and put air in the spare tire. "Well you know it's 'As-Is'"... pretty sure the as-is standard isn't intended for basic cleanliness and readiness to drive off the lot. We're not expecting anything from the dealer here and have no intention of doing business with them again. We're pretty confident that the number of people/lost sales from our friends and acquaintances will outweigh the extra money they made. We'll get a generic "We're so sorry you weren't satisfied." Copy and paste. The thing is, we like the car. It fits our needs. And had a really solid carfax/maintenance history. We might have paid more and left singing their praises. It's amazing to me when an established business doesn't understand the value of word of mouth and customer advocates. That GM needs to fire whatever sales manager came up with this scheme and promote the one who wants to build the business based on customer experience and delight.
