  National Car Rental at IAH was flawless. They made the rental pickup as smooth as one could image. I don't believe I was there for more than 5 minutes and they had me picking out my car and on my way. The car was as if I was taking it from the showroom at a dealer. When I returned the car, it was no different. Simply flawless. They had me checked back in and on my way within 5 minutes. Everyone was friendly from rental to return. I would highly recommend this National Car Rental at IAH and if I ever return, I will use them before anyone else! In times where not enough good is said....THANK YOU TO ALL STAFF AT NATIONAL CAR RENTAL IAH!!

  My check in service was great! Fantastic to be honest. I love the fact that I can walk up and pick a car that fits me and not get stuck with something I'm not comfortable in. When I pulled the car out and did the final check out the gentlemen that was processing my selection was very cool and clear with what was needed of me to go on about me day. I even got some good food ideas. Thank you so much for taking care of me.

  Great experience. When the government shutdown was going on, I had to drive instead of catch a flight with so many cancelled flight. Thank God National came to the rescue and set me up with an awesome MiniVan that I travelled with from Houston to Sacramento. Others were not letting one way rentals out the door, but these guys come thru!! I'll always rent from National.

  As a person who has never rented a car at the airport (always at offsite location), I have to say this entire process from pick up to drop off was quite seamless. I was personally greeted by name when I arrived to pick up my car and had all my questions answered quickly. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The young man even offered to help me load my bags in the trunk. The car was spotless! At the end of the week when dropping off the car, it was very easy to follow the people in the parking garage who were lining up all the vehicles being dropped off. There were a lot of cars all at once and I thought I would be waiting a long time, but the woman handling the check in was speedy, thorough and friendly. So easy! I handed her the keys, she gave me directions to the shuttle and off I went. Very quick and easy!

  Service and cars were great. I don't, however, appreciate being charged for fuel. I filled up the night before return, topping up the tank until fuel came out of the fill neck. A total of 3.4 miles were driven between fill up and return. The gauge showed full and no mention was made of the additional charge at time of return. When I received my invoice with an additional ~$4, I called customer service to have the charge removed. Now, I know what you're thinking; "it's only 4 bucks." While it's true that this a trivial amount of money, I have rented a car each week for 37 weeks, just this year. So this amount would really add up if they get away with it each time. I have no problem paying for what I use, but this extra charge is uncalled for. Back to the customer service call; the CSR with which I spoke accused me of of "doing this frequently"--it was literally only once before, same situation. She advised that I use the prepaid fuel option. I pointed out that paying $50-$75, depending on the car, makes no sense when I use well under half a tank of fuel on most trips. She retired with, "that's just the way it goes sometimes." When I started to ask about my last rental, in Seattle, where I had to wait for a car that had a less than full tank and got no credit for returning it full, she interrupted me and got an attitude. I wish I could say I was a better person and didn't return like for like but it was a long week and I wasn't in the mood to deal with a rude CSR. The call ended with her hanging up on me.
