I was disappointed with my experience at pick up at the George international Houston airport this time. I am a loyal Enterprise user...I had to wait an hour for my car to be ready, I couldn't receive any paperwork, I was told they didn't have any working printers. I was also told to go to a different rental company to see if they will print my paperwork, I actually did. I went to National and they said they couldn't BUT they were very helpful and willing to help me forwarding my email to me as I didn't receive any from Enterprise at first. I rented a deluxe full size 8 passenger vehicle, the car was not cleaned and it smelled like cigarette smoke. No one did a walk around or checked the vehicle with me and didn't care that the vehicle was dirty. The service representative was rude and unsympathetic that my family including my 4 month old grandson had to wait another hour(screaming and crying) for our rental car to be available. I have always had pleasant experiences with Enterprise until this time, it was a nightmare. It definitely makes me question if I will use Enterprise again or change to a different company. Prices are competitive.

My last few interactions with Enterprise have been very disappointing. They do not recognize customer loyalty. I have only used Enterprise for business and personal rentals for YEARS. The last rental I had, the tire fell apart while I was on the highway. Now today, I was treated very poorly by Mercedes at the Houston Airport (IAH). After years of using Enterprise and being a plus member at the gold level, I am finally ready to take my business elsewhere.

Very difficult and frustrating when I needed to modify my rental while I have the vehicle. Called customer service but they couldn’t do the change so I had to be referred to the place where I picked up the vehicle. Not all the shift managers know what they are doing so I had to call multiple times until I could get someone who’s on duty and knows what they are doing. Thought I give them a try and now I don’t think I would rent from them again.

The people at the Bush Intercontinental Airport where we rented the car were great. The people where we returned the car were also great and when there was a suspected problem we told them we were not the responsible party and they called the Bush Airport and got the verified information that we were not. That is good business! Thank you!
I wound like to tell you though that at the Easterwood Airport Enterprise is awful!! we got the run around there.
1. Could not get them on the phone so we drive out there in a borrowed truck. Said they had no cars but, put us on the list for a car that afternoon.
2. That afternoon could not get them to answer the phone.
3. Again we drove there. Still no car. Were told they would probably have one the next day. And that we were First on the list. Checked the phone #.
4. Next could not get them on the phone it was Sunday, many of your places were closed.
So we called got in touch with Enterprise Rent -A-Car at Bush Intercontinental. Said they had a car and we rented it.
—-— Perhaps you may want to tell the people at Easterwood Airport Enterprise -Rent -A-Car at A&M, they should not keep customers hanging. Just tell them they do not have a car and will not have one. Also maybe they should answer their phones. We will NEVER try them again and are telling our friends about our experience.
We are also telling our friends of the Bush Airport positive experience and the positive experience where we returned the car.

The was a rental from 12 - 19 December from the IAH Enterprise location in Houston, Texas.
1. App - 5 stars. Easy to use. Informative.
2. Personnel - 4 stars. All were polite.
3. Vehicle selection - 2 stars. As an infrequent traveler I didn't understand that when they said find a vehicle and use it, that the keys were inside and it would be attached to my agreement upon exiting the rental lot. I ended up looking for someone in the lot to assist me, and finally walking back to the service podium to get the information they could have told me in the beginning. Asking me if I understand the vehicle selection process would have save a lot of walking and stress on my part.
3. Vehicle - 4 stars. 2025 Chevy Traverse. A car that was smarter than me. I have a 2024 Suburban High Country with all the bells and whistles. I thought the Traverse would be similar. It was. But the things that were different were significant. Cruise control icons were similar, but it took a lot of fiddling to realize what I thought were Chrome accents on the steering wheel were actually buttons, and I was halfway back on the return leg of the rental before I accidentally discovers the series of side-screen menus just to reset the trip meter. P.S. I know they don't give owner's manuals in hard copy any more, but the smart voice interface wasn't smart enough to tell me how to reset that cursed, mocking, trip meter.
4. Return - 1.233 starts. Very nice, third-party personnel helped me check in and pointed me to the shuttle service and the Enterprise service desk so I could point out the fatal directions in the Enterprise app. I clicked the directions link on the screen and was offers several program options. I selected Google maps because that is my most used driving app. The directions and voice guidance were very good, even in the challenging Houston area. Everything was great ...until I reached my destination ...a 30-car mini parking lot at the end of the parking garage. I saw numerous other cars pulling end and people getting out, so I did the same and waited for the attendant to come claim the car. Nope, not there. I finally found a foreign national was apparently an Uber type driver who pointed me to the actual entrances that went into the second level of the parking garage. He mentions I had driven by an exit that had a sign. But I was following the infallible Google maps at a point were I was showing numerous lefts and rights in short order. So I didn't see the (obvious) sign.
If the Enterprise / Google Maps had the correct destination point it would have give "Return" a 5 start rating, but the race was lost in the last 1/4 mile.
5. Phone assistance - 0 stars. No answer. No return of message.
Will I use Enterprise again? Yes, but I will ask questions sooner. I'd rather seem ignorant than die of thirst in the vehicle lot.
