  Recently got my car serviced here for regular maintenance and I was incredible impressed with the hospitality and service provided by the team at Volvo with a special shoutout to Robert Crowe, who was the main point of contact for all service related issues. He was incredibly kind and gave me regular check ins with my car. There was another man who unfortunately I never got his name, but he works valet at this location and has been with the company for 35 years - he was also extremely kind and sparked conversation with me while I waited. Super impressed overall and will definitely come back for all my service needs in the future!

  I was in town from Austin while my husband was hospitalized after donating a kidney to his father and needed service during an already stressful time to ensure a safe and comfortable 3hr drive on the way back home. While the arrival experience was pleasant and my service advisor was friendly, Clear Lake Volvo does not accept my warranty company despite other Volvo dealerships having no issue working with them, citing that they are “too difficult” to deal with. This decision placed an additional burden on me as the customer, which is not what someone expects when owning a luxury car brand like Volvo. This feels very short sighted and not customer focused, especially given the bigger picture. Because of this, Clear Lake Volvo is ruled out for any future service needs or vehicle purchases. Update as of 1/29/2026: The General Manager responded publicly to my original review stating he wanted to discuss my experience and invited me to call him directly. I took him up on that offer and attempted to contact him three separate times, but he never answered and his voicemail box was full and unable to receive messages. I then followed up by emailing him at 10:06am on 1/23/2026 and have yet to receive any response. Unfortunately, this makes his public reply feel purely performative rather than a genuine attempt to resolve the issue. Yet another disappointment in an already frustrating experience. Email read as follows: Good morning James, I just tried calling you but was unable to reach you, and it appears your voicemail box is currently full. Since we are both busy, I felt it would be easiest to correspond via email. As mentioned in my review, my initial arrival experience at Clear Lake Volvo was positive. I was greeted promptly in the service bay, my service advisor was friendly and professional, and the mechanic even took the time to join me on a test drive to hear the sound I was concerned about. All interactions up to that point were courteous and professional. Unfortunately, the experience took a turn when I was informed that Clear Lake Volvo does not accept my warranty provider, CarShield. My remaining concerns and sentiments were outlined in my review, which I understand you have now seen and responded to. To provide context, I was in town from Austin while my husband was hospitalized after donating a kidney to his father. Needing service during an already stressful time was important to ensure a safe and comfortable three hour drive home. Learning that my warranty would not be honored, despite other Volvo dealerships having no issue working with the same provider, placed an additional burden on me as a customer. Being told that the warranty company is too difficult to work with felt short sighted and not customer focused, especially given the circumstances and expectations associated with a luxury brand like Volvo. At this point, the best resolution I am hoping for would be for Clear Lake Volvo to reconsider and honor CarShield warranties moving forward. Best regards, Mitch Mason Update 2/8/2026 GM stated their team has attempted to contact me multiple times unsuccessfully in his google review response. Not a single voicemail was left, and still no response to my email from the GM. He responds here as a performative act and lies about contacting me, but there has bren no response with me directly or any genuine care and concern. Do better!
