The vehicle was reserved more than 4 months in advance, and we even completed online check-in 2 days before arrival. After waiting for hours in line, we were told the car was not available. This didn’t happen only to us—around 20 other families were in the same situation. There was a clear lack of empathy and accountability. At first, staff mentioned offering an Uber voucher, but later they denied it completely, leaving us with no solution. No effort was made to fix the problem or minimize the damage caused. I have been renting with Alamo for over 25 years, and this was by far the worst experience. The way this situation was handled destroyed the start of our family vacation. If reservations, loyalty, and customer care matter to you, avoid this location.

In three words: Straightforward, transparent, and personal Don Cody at the IAH airport location took the time to review important detials with us, quickly got my family and I in a rental and on our way, ensured the car we were in would meet the needs of our visit, and provided peace of mind by ensuring he could directly be reached via a phone call anytime if needed. Will be using Alamo from here on out when I visit Houston, 10/10.

Did NOTHING to honor the reservation or assist with getting transportation. They were getting cars returned by renters but literally turned off the lights and walked away. Will NEVER use them or National again. And this is not over
