  Rented a car for 2 days at Houston airport, got charged for 4 days and took me 4 months and 20 phone calls to finally get my money back . You guys are terrible and scammers!! will never rent again from Alamo

  Alamo needs to do better. Renting the car was easy, picking it up at the airport was seamless, return was easy, and the car performed well. My gripe? I was charged $4.99 as a service fee by Alamo for a $0.66 toll. There is no way to pay for a toll in a rental car on a Texas highway that I could see, and I think it's ridiculous for Alamo to basically charge $5 for a toll fee that is less than $1. Unfortunately, from reading the reviews, most of the rental car companies out of Hobby Airport get poor reviews, and Alamo has the "best" at 4.1 stars out of 5. Next time I'll just drive to Houston and save myself the hassle of a rental car. In response to the comment from Alamo below, I called them prior to writing the review and they said that this charge was their policy and that was that. No offer to credit. I advised them at the time I would note that on their review.

  Personnel were friendly and helpful. Rodeo time in Houston means big crowd spurts. Yet, the personnel maintained a positive decorum and helpful nature.

  Was quick to get car. No lines to deal with. Straight to the car and off on vacation. Will use quick checkout in the future.

  The only place to rent a car at Houston Hobby. It’s not that the cars are any different than the other venues. It’s the staff there is absolutely wonderful. They go out of their way to be helpful. Kind considerate the shuttle bus drivers the customer service representatives and the people that check you in when you return your car. All superb Special thanks to Hannah, Mesfin in lobby and Ms young at returns. I have rented here many times and these employees are outstanding. Everyone there is great they will do anything they can to help The experience is refreshing. Thank you to Alamo Houston Hobby!!
