I came into Advance auto parts To buy a new battery I had been to several well known Places before coming to Advance Parts.Finally I went to a mechanic and he directed me to See Pedro at Advance Parts on Richey.When I arrived a young lady helped me to find the right battery.Then let me know that they had it in stock,and as soon as Pedro got back from lunch he Would install it for me.Just like Clock work,Pedro came and install the battery.It was not a easy job because the battery was so corroded it almost seemed to be in removable. But instead of telling me he could not remove it he worked on it for at least 30 min.Using his battery products Without charging me.He spoke to me with such respect that I almost cried.Please take note of this young man's way of treating Advance Parts customers.And continue to hire employees like him That are patient and kind to the elderly. Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
