So he decided he would drive back to California. This location, would NOT except at Debt, even with putting a hold on it, and they would not accept our credit card and pay the extra fee as him the addtl driver. “Company policy” ok company policy, however these are NOT normal circumstances, right now the government is shut down, yesterday they shut 40 airports, with DFW being one of them. In general, as a Company, Enterprise should have made company exceptions to their policy considering the government situation. People need to get home, get back to work etc. These are not “normal” business situations. Enterprise could have easily put a “hold” on our friends debit card (like hotels do), the name matched his drivers license and he could have been on his way. But no, they stood behind company policy and DID NOT even consider the stranded situation they left our friend in. Bottom line, if you are stranded, do not use Enterprise Rent A Car, because they don’t give a crap about your situation or getting your business or what is happening in the world. They only focus on their policies…. NO EXCEPTIONS!!! The location on Austin Ave, once he found out the car was going one way, he REFUSED to rent a car because he was located next to a body shop and that’s where he gets his business from. Again, it’s not about the person, it’s about the $ and policy.
