- MTMiranda Quinn-Tolle (Mandy Tolle)Oct 18, 20251.0Went in today. I know I have speech issues from a stroke, and may appear slow, but I am actually a very smart person. Apparently, the cashier didn't think so. She tried to short me $1. She counted out the change, but it didn't add up. My total was $8.92. I gave her a $20. She put a $10 and a dime on the counter and said "That makes $10 and that makes $20." I asked for the receipt, because I could have sworn she told me my total was $8-something... so, wth?!? I get the receipt and *politely* told her that I was short $1. She said "I gave you $1." I told her that she was mistaken. She only gave me a $10. She told me she'd give me another $1, if it'd make me happy, but she gave me the dollar bill. Feom the second I told her I was short, she had a crappy attitude and was rude. Wouldn't even look at me, was talking at me - instead of to me. I told her I was happy to wait until she counted her drawer, to show she hadn't given it to me. She opened her drawer and slammed it on the counter. Told me "Here's another dollar, but I already gave you one." It wouldn't matter if I was wrong, she should have been respectful. She should have POLITELY said she would have her drawer counted - which is PROTOCOL in a situation like this. It wouldn't matter if I wasn't a smart person, she should have treated me with HONESTY and RESPECT. I called Corporate and made a complaint. I asked for a follow up because I am tired of people thinking it's ok to take advantage of me because they think I'm stupid. I want to know that this has been addressed, and not ignored. But, I was told they likely would not follow up with me.
- TRTrice RodSep 10, 20252.0I was waiting in line to purchase my items. Once I got to the counter, the clerk stepped away from the counter without a word, to talk to his coworker. Mind you, he knew I was there because as soon as he finished with the person in front of me, he made eye contact and just stepped away. The lady clerk had just finished ringing someone up, and looked at me then looked at the other clerk that stepped away, to tell him to ring me up. He didn’t even greet me while doing so, or apologize for his behavior but as I was walking off, I heard him greet the lady behind me kindly and immediately rang her up. I found it extremely rude and unprofessional. I don’t understand what his issue was at all, but if he really needed to talk to his coworker about a work related issue or so, surely it could’ve waited until the customer was serviced first. Usually, when I come here the clerks are extremely kind, and helpful but this instance today rubbed me the wrong way.
