Paid out of pocket, they offered an affordable payment plan of 4 installments. Originally estimated between 8am and 12pm. On day of service, the assigned Tech, Montana, called me at 8am to give me an approximate window between 10 and 11am. Montana called again at 10 to notify he was on the way and arrived by 10:15. Had my windshield finished up by 11. His post-repair instructions were clear. Montana was very professional, it was very easy to schedule online, and super cost effective. 5/5, would recommend Safelite for glass repairs.

My vehicle had already been properly crash wrapped earlier due to broken windows. On November 24, technician Michael arrived for my scheduled repair but did not have the necessary parts. During this visit, he re crash wrapped my vehicle. This second crash wrap was applied very differently than the first one and adhesive tape was placed far down onto my rear passenger door and paint surface rather than being limited to the window opening. After the repair process was completed, I discovered adhesive residue left on my vehicle’s paint that was not present before this visit. This residue cannot be removed without risking damage to the paint on my brand new vehicle. What is most concerning is that the technician did not disclose that any damage or residue had occurred. Additionally, I was later informed that proper documentation photos were not taken during this visit, despite that being part of Safelite’s own procedures. A separate Safelite representative even acknowledged that proper documentation was not completed. Safelite has since refused to correct the issue, stating that adhesive residue is not considered a workmanship problem, despite the fact that their own warranty states service is warranted against defects in material and workmanship. I was advised instead to file an insurance claim for damage caused during their service. This experience left me with new damage to my vehicle that did not exist prior to the November 24 appointment. I trusted Safelite to handle my vehicle properly and transparently, and that trust was broken. I would strongly caution others to carefully inspect their vehicle immediately after service and ask detailed questions about crash wrap procedures.
