I had an excellent experience at the Brakes Plus on Blue Mound. After having brake work done at another location (N Beach) the day before, my car developed a loud clunking noise that they insisted would require about $1,500 in suspension repairs, even when I tried to explain that I knew it was related to the brake work they had just completed.
I stopped at the Blue Mound location for a second opinion and Josh immediately took my concerns seriously. He was incredibly professional, understanding, and made me feel heard instead of dismissed.
They brought my vehicle in right away and within about five minutes the issue was identified and corrected. The noise was completely gone.
Huge thanks to Josh and the team for the honesty, quick help, and great customer service. This is exactly how a repair shop should treat its customers.

I have really enjoyed interacting with the constomer service side of the team here, Chris and Josh are very polite and professional. The actual work, however, has been extremely disappointing - there is either some real incompetence or dishonesty at play here.
I've he'd the shop do an oil change for me and they left the oil cap off and the dipstick hanging out. I discovered this after oil splashed out all over the hot parts of my engine and it smelled like my engine was on fire, while I was on my way to take my daughter to school one morning.
They also replaced all four of my pads and rotors. Just over a year later (right past the warranty and WAY less than the expected service life of those parts), the car was braking really rough so I brought it back in. They said it would be about $400 because I was two months past the warranty and the rotors were warped. It seemed fishy to me, so I told them I would just pick up the truck without them doing the work. The brakes were completely fixed, no rough stops at all. The calipers were stuck and causing the problem (which would be caused by poor work the year prior), and they'd become un-stuck when the shop went to look at them. The shop was going to charge me hundreds of dollars for something they likely knew was not wrong.
Went back in to talk to Chris about the issues with the oil cap and the dishonesty with the stuck calipers, he offered an apology. But I also told him the brakes were squeaky and he blamed a recent winter storm (though it had been more than a week since then, and that didn't make sense)... Well, a month later and the calipers are sticking again, the brakes are still squeaking, and I still smell the oil burning off the engine every once in a while (from inside the truck). I am not happy with this shop at all.

Second time here with a different vehicle getting a transmission fluid change and oil change, and the service was still really good! They didn't push me for anything I didn't want and they explained everything I needed to know. Sukhi was very good, helpful and the shop was very efficient. The only weird thing I find is that they do not give a copy of the health check report (Usually standard with oil changes from my experience) but when I asked about it, Sukhi went through it with me so I could know where my vehicle stands. I know that has nothing to do with the staff, but something that the store might implement that would be nice to do in the future for customers. Thanks again!
