Filed claim Feb 16 for driver-side window. Safelite ordered wrong part, delayed for weeks, canceled multiple appointments (including same-day), took my deductible, and ultimately couldn’t even locate the glass after scheduling service. Nearly 2 months wasted. Requested refund and went elsewhere. Extremely frustrating experience.

I was referred to Safelite by my insurance and although I at first looked at my dealership to fix my broken windshield, I ended up going with Safelite because my dealership left me in limbo.
Safelite made the process super easy from the initial take in to when I arrived at Safelite location. A female attendant greeted me right away and informed me of procedures. I left office to get final items from my car and when I came back in, another customer was being assisted and a male attendant came out from office and told me he could assist me. Overall, everyone in office was very helpful and friendly, hard to find nowadays.
Throughout process I received text messages from Safelite with a final one telling me car was ready. The process took about 1 1/2 hrs!
The only thing I would recommend Safelite improves on is the aesthetics of the office itself. It looks very run down. Other than that, everything was great! The windshield job itself looks great too. They took off my stickers and retapped on and it looks great.

I have been a Safelite customer for well over 20 years. I replaced 2 windshields on my old vehicle, a 2005 Chevrolet Suburban, and had a few chip and crack fixes done to her windshield as well. Just today, I went in with an appointment and replaced the windshield on my newer vehicle, a 2017 GMC Acadia SLT.
I had to replace the windshield, primarily due to my mistake (Don’t be like me! Put a towel underneath your windshield wiper arms when replacing the wipers, kids!), but when I got the vehicle, there was an annoying chip just in my vision on the driver’s side of the vehicle as well. In any case, I decided that now was the time to do it and I’m so pleased with today’s service.
I decided to go to the store to have the replacement done because I wanted the best possible job done and I know how difficult it can be to do something delicate like a windshield replacement outside with the elements. A controlled environment is always the best! My Technician, Michael, was really nice. He introduced himself before doing the work, which started right at my appointment time. I was expecting a 2-hour stay as the couple of pre-appointment emails stated that it would take an hour to do and another hour before I’d be able to re-take possession and drive my vehicle off again.
Before I knew it, and an hour later, Michael returned and let me know that my vehicle was ready. I was very pleasantly surprised. After walking me to my vehicle and a bit of small talk about how vehicles like mine that didn’t need to be calibrated were a faster job to do, he let me know not to do any high pressure washes on it for at least 24 hours, we shook hands, thanked each other, and I got into my vehicle. I was very highly impressed because he was able to save the TxTAG sticker and lined that up perfectly right below my rear-view mirror as I had before (and even more level that I had!), attached my registration sticker, attached, as best as he could, my car wash sticker, and also my oil change sticker in the interior of the car. Aside from that, my vehicle rosary remained over my rear-view mirror, and what impressed me the most was that a black soot handprint marking on my a-frame post inside (that’s another story) was also cleaned! I drove away feeling like I had a brand-new car again.
THIS is why I’ve trusted Safelite with the chip repairs and replacements that I had done on my Suburban, and why I chose to come back to get the replacement done on my Acadia. It’s the little touches like that, along with the high-quality service and glass that make the difference. Thank you so much for your kindness, the woman who I failed to get the name of who was at the reception desk who also warmly greeted me and was great, and thank you again Michael for your great skill, and great customer service with my replacement today!
