  I have a new repair mechanic/shop for my vehicle! It was a pleasure working with Spenser, Andy and the entire crew at Spenser’s Auto. They took the time to listen to me, advise me and work with me to diagnose a locking hub issue. They performed outstanding work at a more than fair price. They were honest and up front with me! Great people, great pricing and great service! Don’t hesitate to have them repair your vehicle if needed!!

  I wasn’t planning to leave a negative review, but after what I found today, I feel like I have to share my experience. I paid over $100 for a diagnostic, and it ended up being a complete waste of time and money. I had already explained in detail what was going on with my vehicle, including multiple engine codes, but I was told nothing was wrong. That alone was frustrating and made me question how thorough the inspection actually was. The whole process was disappointing from the start. Even though I had an appointment, I was told my car couldn’t be looked at for over a week because they were backed up. That completely defeats the purpose of scheduling ahead. Communication was also poor. I sent detailed emails beforehand explaining everything, but when I showed up, it was clear no one had read them. I had to repeat all the same information again, which felt like a waste of my time. What really pushed me to write this review was what I discovered today. When I went to replace my headlights, I found that the engine cover had not been put back on properly. It was just sitting loosely on top of the engine. That kind of carelessness is hard to overlook and honestly pretty concerning. Overall, I’m very disappointed, especially since this shop came recommended to me. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t go back or recommend them to anyone else. I hope they take this feedback seriously and improve their level of service.

  DOM tracked down an electrical problem that had knocked the cruise control off line for over a year. He checked everything thing possible and discovered wires gnawed in half by critters sleeping under the hood. Thanks Dom and Spencer for getting this resolved!! John C. Flower Mound

  I first met Spenser when I moved to Denton, Texas, in the summer of 1996. I originally found his shop simply because it was close to where I was living at the time. What I quickly learned, though, is that Spenser is not only an incredible mechanic, but also someone who is honest and works from a place of true integrity. Through the years he has worked on many of my cars, as well as my daughter’s and grandchild’s vehicles. He has truly become our family’s go-to mechanic. For the past 30 years, he has never failed me once, either with my car or with my trust. When you know someone that long, your mechanic becomes your friend. I am incredibly grateful for him. If you are looking for a mechanic in Denton who is skilled, honest, and dependable, Spenser is someone you can trust completely.
