I'm sure they probably do professional work, but if you weren't fortunate enough to have purchased your vehicle from them, they will surely treat you like a second class citizen. I tried to schedule warranty service work for my truck and I was told that it would not be possible to provide me a loaner vehicle anytime in the next year because I didn't buy from them. I guess spending $90,000 on a truck these days doesn't buy you even a moniker of customer service. I'm new(ish) to the Dallas area and have heard good things in general about Sewell, but if this is how they treat a potential customer that isn't in the "family", then I don't need to give them my business.

I was treated with respect and courtesy during the entire process of buying my new car at Sewell. Clayton answered all my questions and found the perfect car for me based on my criteria. I appreciated the time he took to explain the features of my car and details about the warranty and service options. It was a pleasure to work with him and I would definitely recommend him to my family and friends.
Sewell provides a great environment for car shopping and everyone I met was friendly and helpful. The free car washes, tech clinics, complimentary loan cars, and free cookies add even more reasons to shop at Sewell!

I recently had my daughter’s 2019 Buick serviced at this dealership for a water pump replacement. The repair itself appears to have been completed properly, and I have no concerns about the quality of the service provided.
However, I was surprised to learn afterward that the labor rate was $275 per hour. This rate seems significantly higher than typical charges for similar work. More importantly, this high hourly rate was not clearly communicated in advance. Only the total cost was provided. Greater transparency regarding labor rates upfront would allow customers to better understand and evaluate the charges before proceeding with the repair.

While my vehicle was at Sewell in October 2025 for a routine oil change, I was provided a loaner vehicle. I had previously arranged for Sewell to pickup my vehicle, provide a loan car and return my my serviced vehicle and pick up the loaner, which is a service Sewell promotes and one that has historically been part of the customer experience. However, I was later informed that delivery of my serviced vehicle would not be available for approximately another week. Considering the service performed was only an oil change, this delay was unreasonable and forced me to drive the loaner vehicle back to the dealership in order to retrieve my own car.
During that drive, a rock was kicked up on the highway, struck the windshield and caused a crack. I reported this when returning the vehicle. What I did not expect—and what I find extremely troubling—was that Sewell chose to file a claim over $1,850 against my personal insurance for the windshield damage. As a result of that claim, my insurance rates have increased because it was classified as an accident and will impact my rates for 5 years. I was not aware of this cost and the impact until my recent insurance renewal.
The circumstances surrounding this incident are important. The only reason I was driving the loaner vehicle at that time was because Sewell was unable to honor the previously arranged delivery and pickup service. Had Sewell fulfilled the agreed-upon arrangement in a timely manner, I would not have been driving the loaner vehicle and the windshield damage would not have occurred.
Sewell has built its reputation on exceptional customer service, which is why this experience was both surprising and disappointing. Filing a claim against a customer’s insurance under these circumstances does not align with the level of service Sewell represents. Sewell has long promoted a “Customers for Life” philosophy, and that commitment to service was a major reason my family chose Sewell dealerships for many years.
This experience also directly impacted my decision when my lease ended. I had fully expected to continue with another Sewell vehicle; however, because of how this situation was handled, I chose not to pursue another Sewell lease. That was a disappointing decision for me to make, particularly since my parents were long-time Sewell customers and our family has historically held Sewell in very high regard. I regret that this experience not only affected my decision not to lease another Sewell vehicle, but also makes it difficult for me to confidently recommend Sewell to friends and family as I once did.
I’ve contacted Sewell corporate customer service twice and received no response.

Shady business here they will promise one thing the sell vehicles from underneath you I recently inquired about purchasing a used truck from here. Was assigned a salesman named Omar. I called in around 8 am and requested some videos of vehicle I was intrested in was given videos pretty fast and did give an offer and was told no that vehicle was priced to sell. I agree vehicle was a fair deal and advised after some back and forth with Omar and multiple calls and texts trying to get a hold of him during the day but I did get an answer around 4:25 and we agreed that I would pay the internet price listed and tax title tag around 4:30 I confirmed with I will buy vehicle and I asked if I could leave a deposit and was told no. Ok all good no deposit next told them I would wire the entire purchase price of vehicle and which in return I asked for all wire details in which they supplied me the details at 5:45 mind you after banking hours so they would have been stopped in there tracks anyways. I advised I never sent a wire before and found I would need to go to a branch of my bank to send that much which I advised my sales man and Omar acknowledged what I said that I would have to send it out today. Well on my way to send wire received a text from Omar stating that a customer came in after me and got a approval from a bank and vehicle is now being held as a secured funds if it has a deposit. First, I asked if there was a deposit I was told no so I said I will pay all of it at once so what Frustrates me is what differentiates me coming in with cash and somebody that walks off the Street? I agreed to buy the vehicle before this person ever even came in the equation. I called out Omar for this and decided To talk to a sales manager Robert when I spoke to Robert now, he says he doesn’t even know anything about me already making a deal on this vehicle so now there’s two Managers that don’t talk to each other at all and a sales team that doesn’t talk to anybody this should have never been able to be looked at by anyone else Now, if I were to send that $48,000 what would have happened? now you ran somebody else’s credit and now you also took somebody else else’s money So who wins in this situation? I was later told then if the vehicle doesn’t sell by 12 PM I can get 1st dibs conveniently sold at 11:45 which shouldn’t have even been an option since I was the first one on the truck Instructed a deal before this guy even came in so how do I become second pick? I did text back Omar that I would be writing this review inconveniently they called me right Omar explained to me that he lost commission on this also as it’s sold to some other Salesman and it was out of his hands, but if the right processes were put in place this would’ve never happened If I already agreed to purchase the vehicle, it should be known that on all managers sales team everything They shouldn’t be able to sell out from each other after this, talking to him and Robert sales manager They advise me they look for another vehicle for me waited all day and got absolutely nothing One vin for a GMC that doesn’t even have photos in it. It isn’t even on their lot and of course it’s more money. This place needs more training on how to handle things correctly And how to communicate better as a team very disappointing
