I want to start by saying the salesperson was excellent—professional, responsive, and genuinely helpful throughout the buying process. Unfortunately, that was the only positive part of my experience.
Sewell GMC of Dallas claims to perform a multi-point inspection on used vehicles, but based on my experience, that inspection is either not being done or not being done thoroughly. Upon delivery, the vehicle had multiple chips in the windshield that were never disclosed. These were only addressed after I specifically pointed them out.
Additionally, the vehicle did not have a fresh oil change, which is something most buyers reasonably expect—especially from a dealership with Sewell’s reputation. Even worse, the oil level was so low it wasn’t registering on the dipstick at all. This is basic maintenance and should have been caught immediately during any legitimate inspection process.
For a dealership that markets itself as premium, the used vehicle intake and inspection process is subpar and disappointing. Transparency and basic mechanical checks should not be optional, especially when customers are trusting your inspection claims.
I expected far better from Sewell. While the salesperson did their job well, the overall experience with the vehicle preparation seriously missed the mark.

Purchased a 2026 Yukon XL with Shane Watson and Sheila Reid this past weekend. Hands down the BEST experience which is why I decided to drive out to Dallas vs. going to my local GMC dealership. I told Shane my needs in this new vehicle, he listened and executed! Never salesy, pushy etc. Everything went so smoothly. Top tier customer service by every single person involved from the front desk to the sales team. My wife and I have purchased 3 vehicles from Sewell. 2 brand new 2024 Cadillacs in 2024, and 1 pre owned Infinity Q60, in 2025. Every time we have dealt with Sewell it’s been a wonderful experience and customer service is beyond anything I’ve experienced. We live in Oklahoma and we will always make the trip to Texas to deal with Sewell. In fact we plan on dealing with them again on a new GMC this year. We will probably never buy from an Oklahoma dealer again as they don’t care about the “after sale service “ like Sewell does.

Jonathan was easy to talk to, answered questions honestly, and respected my time. No pressure, no dealership games, just clear communication and follow-through.
