It good thing should detour crime with upgrade. The truck parking is still operational. The competition has gotten stronger with new race track on opposite side of freeway. Cannot wait to see upgrade. Flying J (and their sister company, Pilot) is currently in the middle of a massive, multi-year remodeling project called the "New Horizons" initiative. This is a $1 billion investment launched to modernize more than 400 locations across the U.S. and Canada. Here is the breakdown of what is changing: 1. The Gas Station & Travel Center The "New Horizons" project is a "curb-to-counter" overhaul. If your local Flying J is being remodeled, you can expect: • Refreshed Restrooms & Showers: Complete gutting and modernization of facilities. • Upgraded Technology: Installation of self-checkout kiosks and updated fueling equipment at the pumps. • Enhanced Driver Amenities: Expanded laundry facilities and better-equipped driver lounges. • Better Lighting: Improved parking lot lighting and exterior "industrial-style" branding. 2. The Denny’s Situation The relationship between Flying J and Denny’s is changing, but it depends on the specific location. • Kitchen Upgrades: In many remodels, Flying J is upgrading the existing restaurant kitchens. • PJ Fresh Expansion: Pilot/Flying J has been leaning heavily into their own fast-casual brand, PJ Fresh.
