    We rented a car from another company and when we got there to pick it up, at 9:30 pm, they told us that they were closed and they had no cars for us, can you believe it ? When we already reserved it in advance for that whole week and that clerk was right there in front us, she was so rude.. then I turned around and I saw one agente from National Rental Car, and I asked him if they can rent us a car, and he offered me the best customer service ever, in 10 minutes they gave a brand new, clean, fresh car, even better they told us to choose any car we want for the same price ... they were amazing. Now, to return this car, we called a customer represantive to guide us through this process and address, they were fantastic .. i will rent a car from them again and recommend them for that Great Service ....

    After multiple flight delays, I finally arrived at the DFW car rental after 10:30pm. I didn't get the gentleman's name who helped me, but I want you to know that he went above and beyond. He walked out to the car with me, helped me adjust the seat and get my GPS connected. He even strapped me in the seat belt and then helped with directions to my hotel. He was truly a lifesaver as I was exhausted after a full day of travel. I wish I would have gotten his name so I give him a huge shout out. Thank you National! I will never use any other car rental company.

    I had a horrible experience on Monday at about 3am with a female counter worker. I was ignored for several minutes until I said excuse me. She had a bad attitude from the beginning when I approached to check in for my reservation. I asked about upgrading to a larger suv and she aggressively stated it was unavailable. I usually have a great experience at this location but she was very short and when I asked questions she either ignored, took a while to respond or rolled her eyes then answered with an annoyed tone. Upon approaching I heard another person refer to her as Britney so I’m assuming that’s her name as (she refused to state her name) . Please work on the customer service as usual it is great even though I usually travel in the morning. I won’t make this mistake again.

    The car itself was fine. The picking up the car in the DFW car rental garage was another matter. I saw that the first vehicle in line met my needs, swung my bag into the back end, closed the hatch and then started walking around the car to climb into the front seat so that I could return to the terminal and collect my wife and daughter and their luggage. At that point, a smarmy dweeb walked up to me with a smirk on his face and said he had the keys to this vehicle. Obviously, he had taken the keys to this first vehicle and walked the row of Executive cars looking for a better deal. Never happened to me before in 40 years of renting a car. I was stunned someone could be so rude. I hope this isn't a trend.

    This was, without question the absolute worst experience w/ a rental car company that I have ever had in terms of customer service My vehicle experienced a flat at midnight in an unsafe part of town and I had my service dog with me in the back. I called National roadside assistance and initially worked out where they would send a recovery vehicle and tow me back to the airport and I would swap for the new vehicle there. It was never explained the original rental would have to be towed to a tire service center. I was never told at this time that I had the option for an "unattended" recovery I was informed via automated text that the tow service would be there in 60 - 90 minutes. After 90 minutes I received a message that the drive rwas there. The driver was not there. I called National back and they said "oh sometimes the drivers do that ahead of time" Another 30-60 minutes goes by and no service vehicle. I called National numerous times and this is what occured: - I was told they don't speak directly with the third party service center. So I asked, how do you know their status. I was placed on hold multiple times - I asked for the name of the service center and their direct number. I called multiple times and each time I called, that number was not in service and couldn't be used. I looked the service center up online and found a number (different than what was provided)and had the same outcome: Unserviceable number - I was informed of National's no profanity policy because I used the F word once in context (and I paraphrase here) saying I've been waiting for a F'ing service vehicle for over 2 hours now when I was informed it would be 60-90 minutes" I did not swear at anyone. After I was informed of this policy and that the call center person was choosing to waive it, I continued to explain my frustration with no profanity and they hung up. - I called back again, asking where the service vehicle was and they still couldn't tell me. They said (and this was over 2 hours into the situation) that I could do an unattended pick up so that I could get back to my air bnb that was still an hour away to make it to my flight in 6 hours. - Then about 5 minutes after leaving the location of the vehicle, the tow service called to tell me they were at the vehicle and had my other vehicle. Come to find out (and something no one at National seemed to be aware of) is that the tow service had actually gone to the airport, picked up a replacement vehicle and then driven to me. No one, neither the National team or the tow service had reached out to me at any time to communicate this. So I returned to the location of my vehicle and exchanged for the working vehicle w/ the tow service - Furthermore National told me (and I asked them repeatedly to confirm this) that when I left the vehicle, to take the keys with me and return them to the National team at the airport. Upon arriving back at the vehicle to meet the tow team and pick up the spare vehicle from them, they said that not leaving the keys was a terrible idea. All told, this took three hours to resolve. I was treated rudely, with incompetence and zero concern by the customer support / road side assistance team at National. This was not just the worst rental car experience I have ever had but probably one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had.
