The device will mark violations even when you are using it correctly. I got a few violation last night and obviously they will report it so it will screw you over in court!! After so many violation that you get your car goes on a lockout and they ask you to pay $75 more or you will have to wait 24+ hours to use your vehicle. There is not a time that I go to court and this violation comes up for no reason!
