If you say thank you after you buy and pay, they don’t reply, and they don’t say welcome when you enter the store—unlike other places like Love’s. Also, one of the homeless women asked me to buy her a coffee and a sandwich. I did, but since we couldn’t find a sandwich, I bought her chips and coffee instead. When I went to pay for her items and mine, the cashier asked me, “Did she ask you to buy it, or did you want to buy it for her?” I said, “She asked me.” Then she told me, “Don’t do that again.” I asked, “Why not? She’s homeless and needs something to eat in this cold. As a Muslim, I can’t refuse her request just because she wants to eat. Regardless of religion, we as humans should help each other.” Then she said, “If you do that again, you’ll be kicked out of the station.” Is that normal? Shame on them! The only beautiful thing about this station is the sunset. 🌅
