When I asked for assistance, the employee told me he couldn’t help because the “outlet was dark,” which didn’t make sense since it wasn’t dark outside or inside the store. Instead of offering proper help or explaining that he couldn’t do it(simple), he told me I could just plug the diagnostic tool into my car myself. I was confused because I came in specifically for assistance. I don’t know how to do diagnostics, and that’s part of the service AutoZone advertises. I’ve never had an issue at AutoZone before, but this experience felt like the employee simply didn’t want to help. Customer service should include actually assisting customers, especially when they ask politely. I hope management addresses this and ensures employees are willing to do their job.
