  The entire process was a breeze, I checked in online got my confirmation number then walked to the back to pick my car. I didn’t have to wait in line which was very long, nor did I wait for a car. Only issue I was was when I returned the car I pulled into the wrong return line and couldn’t get out, I left the car with key in it and the young man said they will drive it to Alamo. Ala in all, great experience, the car was clean and smelled good with a full tank of gas. -A. Rosario

  I have been traveling to Texas for 6 months for a family medical emergency and Alamo’s customer service just put my mind at ease through it all. It was easy to modify and extend my reservation through the app. I always had a great, clean car and best of all there were no hidden fees or crazy pricing. Just a simplified and smooth experience. Big shoutout to Hubi at the DFW location.He just radiated pure joy and kindness at a time when I needed it most.

  UPDATED POST 4/10/2026: After calling Alamo, I received a call from Jesse who worked with me to ensure that I would not have that experience again. He listened to my concerns and I was satisfied that my next experience with Alamo will be just as advertised! ORIGINAL POST 4/9/2026: I was supposed to go to my rental directly and drive out. I was stopped by an attendant who had a line of customers and was told I had to wait. When it was my turn, the attendant took me to several smaller SUVs than what I had selected on line and after showing me 7 smaller SUVs finally took me to the one last SUV that was in the category I had selected. It took much longer than anticipated to get them to fulfill what had been previously selected on line weeks earlier. From there on the rental went as expected and we were satisfied with the rental unit including the much easier return process than trying to pick it up in the first place.

  After 20 years of renting from Avis, I got tired of their long lines and unfriendly service. I tried Turo, but the experience was unpredictable. So I gave Alamo a try. This was hands down the BEST rental car experience I've ever had, after 20 years of renting cars from other companies: The price was GREAT. The service was GREAT. When I arrived at DFW, I rode the bus to the rental car facility, and I walked straight to the garage. An enthusiastic, friendly, helpful Alamo worker greeted me. He asked me a few question to understand my needs and chose a great car for me. The return was equally fast and friendly. It's so nice to find a rental car company that treats customers great. Thank you Alamo! I will be back! Finally!

  Group of us went to Dallas for hockey tournament for 5 days. Others used other rental companies and able to get a flat rate for tolls, NOT Alamo. I ended up with $180 toll fee plus $25 service fee. This is insane. I called Alamo and was transferred to tolling office, who told me it was correct billing that the contract says renters agreed to pay highest rate. I called the highway office and was told nothing they can do because they didn't bill me directly. I called Alamo back and was told nothing they can do as tolling is a third party and they're completely separate companies. Others in my group either paid $15/day or $67 for the entire trip. So I am being charged a service fee, paying the highest toll rate and a third party is making money of me. Guess I learned my lesson and will not use Alamo again
