It's the longest I've ever waited for an oil change. The staff was talking about vacation in front of us—the paying customers—rather than about work (red flag #1 - improper training). About an hour into it, one of the mechanics mentioned they were out of an oil filter part and had to order it (red flag #2 - improper preparation). To make matters worse, two days after we took her car in, she noticed a loud scraping noise under her car—it turns out the mechanic failed to bolt the oil tank cover plate back on, causing it to hang loose and damage the part. They ordered a new part to replace the damaged one, which I commend them for; however, it should never have happened in the first place. It was very inconvenient for her, as she had to spend her time and gas driving back to the place. Instead of offering her 50% off her next oil change, they should have provided a free oil change to help make it right. Amateur and unprofessional service all around — especially from a “big name” franchise like Goodyear!
