  Thank you Remi so much for your help!! I came in yesterday knowing that I was going to need new rear breaks. Remi explained I needed new pads for all of my tires and how important it was that I got the rear ones done immediately to avoid any further damage to my car. I thank you so much for your help and taking care of my car quickly. I will be back in for my front brakes soon.

  I went to Brakes Plus to get an emission test and called to see if the inspector was in. Polanco answered and he was super helpful and friendly (great customer service) and when I arrived Jenn was welcoming and helped me get squared away! Thank you Brakes Plus!

  I got preventive maintenance on my Mom's cars within the last few days. In both cases they got me in without appointments. The first car (modified 2018 Kia Soul for wheelchair use - see Freedom Motors if interested) needed an oil change, tire rotation, and coolant flush. The second car (2002 Toyota RAV4) additionally needed brake shoe replacement. The first car had not been serviced since 2023, the other one was in 2024. It took about 2 hours the first time; almost 4 the second time since they were understaffed prior to New Year's Eve. Costs were reasonable. We have been using them since they were City Garage and have always been happy with them. They have been able to do almost all service and we rarely have to go to either the Kia or Toyota dealer.

  My car had RPM spikes while driving, and I suspected a transmission issue. Instead of properly checking the transmission, they focused on the battery and told me it needed to be replaced, even though I had no starting issues. They pushed me to buy a battery from them, which I declined. I immediately went to AutoZone, where they confirmed the battery was 100% healthy. It felt like they were more interested in selling a battery than diagnosing the real problem. A few days later, my car broke down due to a confirmed transmission failure. Very disappointed with the diagnosis and service..

  ⭐☆☆☆☆ Multiple Locations, Repeated Promises, No Repair I have taken my vehicle to multiple Brakes Plus locations (University, Loop 288, and Coppell) since 2024 for the same brake-related grinding noise. Despite repeated visits, long wait times, and thousands of dollars spent based on different diagnoses, the issue has never been correctly identified or repaired. At the Coppell location, I was specifically told that brakes would be installed, yet after waiting several hours, no brake work was performed again. Instead, I was told it was another front-end issue, after I had already paid for suspension and control arm repairs. At the Loop 288 location, corporate-level management saw me returning multiple times for the same issue, yet no escalation or corrective action occurred. Each location provided a different explanation, and at one point I was even told to “turn the radio up louder” rather than address a brake safety concern. This reflects a failure in diagnosis, follow-through, and oversight across locations. I have escalated this matter to corporate and am awaiting resolution.
