Jessica Kennedy got me in a safe very suitable car. Thank you, Jessica. I had a reservation at Enterprise in Bastrop TX & was supposed to get a rental vehicle comparable to my Subaru Outback which was covered by insurance. So much for a reservation--On Friday 11/7/25, when I showed up to pick up the car promised to me, Enterprise told me they only had a Mitsubishi Mirage available. The car was dirty on the outside; the turn signals do not make a sound so you have no idea if they are on or not; & the steering is loose & non-responsive. Ironically, my friend who was with me was a Toyota mechanic. He got behind the wheel and totally confirmed my concerns. To make matters worse, my husband is recovering from spinal surgery and I can't squeeze him into this tiny economy car & there is no way I can fit his wheelchair. I called Enterprise twice a day, drove there at least 5 times, pleading for a safe suitable rental. No luck. Today (11/13/25) I called the phone # for Enterprise in Bastrop & thought I had this resolved. I spoke to someone who assured me that there would be a compact SUV available for me at the Bastrop location at 3:30. Again, so much for a reservation. The folks at the Bastrop location told me that the person I spoke to didn't work there. So, I gave them my reservation #. They looked it up & saw that I indeed had a reservation, but, they didn't have any suitable car available at this time. Now, they want me to come back again tomorrow afternoon. I am ready to just turn the *hitsubishi in & go somewhere else. Having your car rear ended & out of service for who knows how long is bad enough. No one needs this much aggravation just to get a rental car as promised.
