During that initial call, I was informed that the part was at another location and that it was likely an inventory error. The call turned silently awkward with no further assistance or resolution was offered at that time. As someone with experience in the automotive industry and as a former owner of an auto service shop, I am familiar with how inventory and inter-store processes typically work. When I contacted the Balch Springs store, Chris answered the phone with a personable and professional demeanor. He took the initiative to personally verify whether the part was physically in stock and promptly confirmed that it was available, inviting me to come in. I also inquired about an additional part. Although it was not available at his location, Chris immediately offered to contact the other store to confirm availability and arrange a store-to-store transfer. He gave me the option of waiting on hold or receiving a callback; I chose to remain on hold. He followed through, confirmed the part’s availability, and successfully arranged for it to be delivered to his store the following morning. I greatly appreciate Chris Alverado’s initiative, professionalism, and commitment to providing excellent service. Credit is certainly due, and he exemplifies the level of customer care that should be recognized. I look forward to picking up both parts tomorrow morning and sincerely hope he will be there.

I came to Advance Auto Parts and was attended by the assistant manager Jackie and she was able to find the part I was looking for. I will for sure be going back to this Advance Auto Parts store.

What are the signs of a bad car battery?
Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
