  Horrible customer service!! Recently had windshield replaced went through insurance. My deductible was $495 and all invoices and information prior said it was $495. It took roughly 4 months for windshield to come in because vehicle was 2025. We understood that and waited patiently. The tech did a great job and when he was done he said the total would be $495 our deductible. I saw on his device it was $495. Shortly after leaving we saw that $832 was charged to our card. Reached out to tech immediately and he said there was some kind of mistake because it should have only been $495 and said he called his manager and he would be in contact with us to get it fixed. Didn’t hear back from store manager and called again and spoke with someone who told us that it should have only been $495 and they would email store manager with high importance and that we would definitely receive call. We are now 3 weeks later and still have not heard from store manager or gotten anything resolved.

  Making an online appointment was easy. They came to my house and installed a windshield. The technician was great. He was friendly, professional and made sure he cleaned up after himself.

  I had customer interactions with 2 service technicians. Chris, called me first thing in the morning on the day of my appointment. He texted me later that day to inform he was on his way. He arrived, realized the ding in the windshield could be repaired and would not need to be replaced. He called onto his company and set up the appointment for the next day between12 and 5. Here is where Safelite severely dropped the ball. After waiting until 4:00pm and no call/contact from Safelite I began trying to reach someone. Finally after what seemed 30 minutes of going through prompts, I spoke with a person and learned my appointment was NEVER assigned or dispatched to a tech. So once again, I was rescheduled for ANOTHER appointment from 12 to noon the next day. Tony, the tech assigned to my work order called to inform me he would be the technician assigned. Tony alerted me later that day when he was on the way to my house. Tony,despite it being dark and after working a long day, was very proficient, professional and skilled. He repaired my vehicle exceeding my expectations. Safeliites back office processes and procedures are horrible for the customer experience.

  This was about as “painless” of an auto window replacement as it gets. My insurance company recommended Safelite, set up the appointment for me (Safelite did contact me for scheduling time). The replacement was done at my residence. The tech showed up a bit earlier than the schedule window said (a good thing), got right to work and did a first-class job of replacing the window with a Pilkington replacement (Pilkington is a high-quality auto glass manufacturer). The rear window had been smashed in by an auto burglar. Sharp pieces of glass were all over the back seat and floor. I had started to pick it up but I didn’t have proper gloves to handle all of the sharp shards. The Safelite tech did a great job of cleaning up all of that before he started replacing the window. The mobile Safelite van carries a vacuum much better than anything I have. All of the broken glass that fell inside the door was also cleaned up by the tech while he was inside of it, so there’s no longer any rattling noise due to broken glass when the rear door is opened and closed. My experience lived up to that promised by the Safelite ads on TV, so I can recommend Safelight without reservation. All I had to pay was the $100 deductible per my auto policy.
