- NJNick JohnsonSep 24, 20251.0Absolutely terrible customer service and literally no selection of cars at all. As soon as I walked to the National lot, there was a line and hardly any cars at all. When my turn arrived, the employee named Ryan told me to wait a min and went to help 2 other customers who came literally 5 mins after me. When asked about it that why did you skip me when I came before them, he casually said because they had better status than me (Executive Elite or something like that). I booked a premium crossover and I let him know that. He insisted on showing him my reservation while he didn’t check anyone else’s reservation at all. When he confirmed that I actually booked a premium crossover, he doesn’t grab a crossover from the bunch of cars parked on the right side of the booth. Instead goes all the way to Alamo and grabs me a crossover. That car had over 40,000 miles on it with really bad smell and multiple rock chips. When I said this is not what a National customer is promised, he goes on and says “this is all I have”. Again he had at least 20 cars parked right by the booth. To sum it up, it was an absolute horrible experience and I have never been treated like this before by National Car rental. I have been renting with National over 5 years but I dont think will be renting in future. I will also switch my business account for my employees to a car rental where I am actually valued.
