  I’ve been coming to Jiffy Lube for years, but this visit was enough to make me reconsider. I went in for a standard oil change, left my keys in the car, and waited inside like usual. The employee with the long beard came in on his phone, didn’t acknowledge me at first, and when he finally did, it felt like I was interrupting him. He mumbled something about there being a wait but offered no real information. When I asked for a rough estimate — even just a ballpark — he gave vague, half-hearted answers and acted irritated that I was asking. Instead of taking ownership, he told me to “ask the guy outside" and dismissed me. When I went outside, the older guy (who has ALWAYS been amazing) told me I needed to speak with the guy inside — and I told him beard guy sent me to him. The only reason this isn’t a one-star review is because the old guy has always been friendly and helpful and a younger employee took the 30 seconds to clearly explain the delay and expected wait time. That’s all I wanted. I'm not even mad there was going to be a wait, I enjoy the quiet alone time. I went straight to Take 5 Oil Change after this experience.

  The techs were not friendly at all. Very rude. The tech or techs adjusted my seat to how they would like it. And turned off my automatic headlights. Just a poor experience the very 1st time at Jiffy Lube. I know that I will never go back nor recommend this Jiffy Lube. The 2 techs just seemed to be existing and not happy. One of them changed his attitude after what seems like the boss arrived.

  Very disappointed with the service at Jiffy Lube. I came in for an oil change and specifically asked them to check the drain plug for leaks. After the service, the technician told me the drain plug was in perfect condition. A couple of days later, I found a large oil puddle under my car. When I checked the dipstick, it was completely dry. The following Monday I returned to the same location. I found employees sleeping, which already felt very unprofessional. I explained the situation and again asked them to check the drain plug. They told me the plug was fine and claimed the leak was coming from a “gasket between the engine and transmission.” Later that same day, I went to another shop where the mechanic explained that there is no gasket there — it is a rear main seal. It turned out Jiffy Lube did not fully drain the old oil and then added the full service amount without checking the level, overfilling the engine. This caused excessive pressure and pushed oil out through the seal. When the car was lifted, I personally saw oil leaking from the drain plug. This confirmed the poor quality of the service. Not only was the service done incorrectly, but I was also given false information. This cost me time, money, and unnecessary stress. I do not recommend this location.

  I've been getting my oil changed here for probably 25 years, and I love the manic old guy who I guess owns this location. This Jiffy Lube is "old Austin" in the best possible way. I'll be going back.
