  TLDR: cockroach nest in car, had to be shuttled to another location despite reservation Incredibly disappointed by my enterprise experience. I reserved my vehicle days ahead of time at the Colorado street/downtown location. I got a call when I was five minutes away from the location (after walking 40 minutes) that the location had no cars. On my arrival, no one acknowledged me or explained what was going on. I waited about an hour before I was taken in a car to this location which was further from where I was staying. At that point I was given a sedan (I had reserved an SUV). I was using this car to go visit my cousin who is on hospice. I drove the car to Houston when I saw that 6-10 cockroaches had crawled out of the area around the emergency break and into the cupholder area. This included a big cockroach and tiny baby cockroaches, it was almost unbelievable. In Houston I contacted multiple enterprise locations including the original place of rental to see how to get a swap out and was given no solution besides to go to the airport to switch it which was an hour each way and not a good solution given I was there to spend time with a dying family member. Very bad customer service. Ultimately the this location in Austin gave me a partial refund and while the manage was friendly, this is not an adequate solution. Further, the corporate account commented on my review (similar to this) of the primary location downtown saying to reach out and when I did, said they do not manage any refunds and the only way to contact corporate is to send a letter by mail and pay your own postage. Very disappointing overall. Would never ever recommend enterprise or use it again

  Best rental car experience I’ve ever had! Evan was kind and went out of his way to make sure I had a car, even though it was last minute and unexpected.

  The car rental experience was fine but the car return process has been a nightmare because the car was checked in two days after I returned it to another location. I have been charged DOUBLE the rate due to their inefficiency, and despite calling FOUR TIMES to get it resolved, it still has not and no one from this office has reached out to make it better. I’ve even had to call the corporate office because this branch has done NOTHING to fix this for me. Absolutely terrible customer service and I can’t even blame the location where I returned the vehicle since customer service said it lies solely on the rental branch to make this right. I’ve been an enterprise customer for years and this is the last car I will rent from them. All I’ve asked for is this overcharge to be corrected and they have still not done it.

  Nestled near downtown and a short drive from the airport, the best customer service I have gotten from any retailer in years. Answered all my questions, gave me any updates on extending rental and our future trips will be booked at this location. Highly recommend them to friends and family. Our customer service representative was friendly and efficient.

  See below for review; after waiting more than me week with no response I felt compelled to write a review. I received reply to contact a website so that I could speak to someone, which instead brought me back to regular customer service who previously advised I’d need to discuss with corporate and case would be escalated. BEWARE you may to be left in an unknown city with no vehicle and no offer to get you to another location for a vehicle . Enterprise corporate does not appear to care about its clients being left stranded in a strange city having to walk 2+ miles in 90 degree heat to get to another location and certainly this location does not appear to care about its clients. Enterprise Downtown Austin East was the worse experience we’ve ever had with any rental company-the person with whom we the issue name Lee believe was Alyssa -but not certain. She was out of uniform no identifiers, except for a nose ring and tattoos arms. We reserved vehicle 1 plus weeks in advance and confirmed reservation the day before. Took an Uber to location waited in line for vehicle when the last vehicle available was rented to the person In front of us. When I asked the woman what we were going to do as we had driven 25 hrs to get to the location in RV and had family Issue that we needed to get to right away. She shook her shoulders and said I guess I can call another location and have them pick you up-wait outside. We waited for approximately 40 minutes while we watched people enter after us and leave with vehicles. I went back in to inquire what was happening and she laughed with the 2 young woman at counter stating I was a disrespectful old lady and she wouldn’t rent to me. I apologized over and over -why I don’t know-and explained our predicament. She said there was no way she would rent to us. Now extremely late-my husband and I treked through an unknown city in 90 degree heat for over 2 miles to get to the next enterprise location. The second location in Austin was amazing. Two young men in uniform immediately assisted us -Alex was incredible getting us a vehicle within less than a hour We attempted to contact corporate on multiple occasions with promises of a callback so we could address the young woman who is not in uniform and extremely rude and surly and left two senior citizens to walk in 90° heat in an unknown city where anything could’ve happened. We had absolutely no response. I do want to note that we’ve been at two other Enterprises in the last several weeks post the situation and had great experiences so it’s only this particular location that we are discussing. Kudos to the location in Austin by the hotel and kudos to the enterprise in Pell City
