Cecilio Cruz did a great job helping me buy and put a new battery in my Chevrolet truck. It was a hard job but he went out of his way with customer service. I will always come to auto zone and use him. Thank you

Worst attitude I’ve ever experienced in a retail environment! I went in early in the morning just as they were opening and greeted the person working there with a “hello how are you doing?” I got zero response. I then asked if I can get my battery checked, I got zero response. I asked if he could check the alternator along with battery, I got zero response. He ended up checking my battery and printing out the results of the test for me. I said “thank you” and I got zero response. I don’t know what this guy‘s problem was, but he was incredibly rude and completely dismissive and made me feel incredibly unwelcome in his store. The employee seemed to lack basic manners that anyone working in an environment like this should have. If he doesn’t like his job he needs to leave his job, but he shouldn’t be treating people like this. I’m probably never going back to this AutoZone ever again.

Very disturbing experience at this Autozone. About a week ago, I purchased an Ozium air freshener. I am an uber driver and I purchase Ozium (and several other products like fuel additives, interior wipes, micro fiber towels) at least once a month from Autozone. On this particular day, I accidentally grabbed the wrong scent. I made my purchase, went out to my car, sprayed it and immediately realized the mistake I had made. I walked back inside, asked if I could exchange it because this was the wrong scent, and was met with snide laughter and dismissal by a tall, short haired, darker skinned man. I was told “nah bro we don’t do exchanges on those” and was laughed at. I thought that sounded strange, particularly as I had just made the purchase- from this man- less than 5 minutes prior and still had my receipt in my hand.
So I called Autozone customer service. I was connected with their Austin regional manager, Dustin. He told me that this man should not have refused the exchange, and that per their store manager, Billy, I could go back in and exchange it.
So I went back, and it was the same man who dismissed me the first time. This time he was immediately aggressive with me. After letting him know who I was and that their store manager Billy had authorized the exchange, he walked away from me mid-conversation and started helping other customers.
After 3-4 minutes of standing there waiting, wondering why he had just walked away in the middle of our conversation, he shouts across the store to me “nah bro you can stand here all day, nobody’s exchanging that for you”.
I told him the exchange had already been authorized by their general manager, Billy, as well as by the district manager who called me and explicitly told me that they should never have denied the exchange in the first place and that I was authorized to trade it for the scent that I preferred and consistently purchase from them.
Since he refused to call his manager to verify this easily verifiable information, I went ahead and grabbed the Ozium that I had been authorized by corporate to exchange it for, which is when this employee (I believe his name is Jesse) told me he would be calling the POLICE on me.
He aggressively followed me outside to my car, making me feel extremely unsafe- afraid that this man twice my size was about to put hands on me- took a picture of my license plate, and made sure I knew that he would be calling the police. Over an air freshener. Which I was authorized to exchange my old one for.
Absolutely unbelievable behavior, and a credible threat to my safety all because this disgruntled employee didn’t want to do his due diligence and wanted to act aggressive toward a customer whom HE personally wronged.
I am absolutely looking into my legal options with this. The shame and humiliation and feeling unsafe that this employee caused me to feel has forever tainted my image of Autozone, and unless swift action is taken to rectify the egregious abuse of power and sheer incompetence displayed by this employee- not only will I never shop there again- this Autozone will be hearing from my attorney whom I keep on retainer.

I am very disappointed to share the worst and first bad experience with Autozone, this is my first time coming to the store around 4:30-4:40 PM JAN 2 and I was Very much “not welcomed” by a Dark skinned Gentleman sleeve Tattooes and longer hair Afro type” who was very rude despite me being very friendly, I thought maybe this man had a long and harsh day, tried to be even more polite to ask him how his day was and I hope he had a great holiday, Well I wish I never did because this dude just mean mogged me and proceeded to look at me in a rude way, at that point I decided to not interact any further, asked him to check my car battery that’s under warranty and he start arguing about how my car has the wrong battery size, we ran my VIN number through the system and the same exact battery pulled up So the man started being so hostile towards me and I told him that I no longer would like his service.
I apologize for the long review, But I genuinely wish that person has a better day, or even job. I worked retail and went through all types of BS but his actions Cannot be justified. I hope this matter gets resolved.
