    I have been trading at this store for years. Most visits were very good. One time recently I came in to buy 5 quarts of oil. I was the only customer in the store and neither of the employees helped as I waited to purchase the oil. Both stayed in the back, as I could see one talking on his phone. I set the oil on the floor and left. I stayed away from this store for a while but decided to try them again. Went in today to get an oil filter and brake cleaner. Stood there as the next in line while the employee talked on the phone with a customer for an extended time, not even acknowledging customers waiting. I gave up, set the filter on the shelf behind me and walked out for good this time. It seems odd to stay on the phone with someone that may or may not buy something when you have customers staring at you with merchandise to purchase now. Why is someone on the phone more important than customers waiting in your store.

    Came in at 7pm to buy/ exchange battery. Was told that after 7pm they can't change batteries as they have closing duties.(They close at 8pm) No worries, I ask if I can just change it myself and just use a socket to get the battery out of the car. They said, we can't lend out wrenches after a 7pm either. OK. So I couldn't uninstall the battery to exchange. The Battery was under a 3 year warranty from the Advance Auto (it had only been a year). Then I was told that I had to go to the same store I bought it from. Even if it was from Advance Auto Parts, it had to be exchanged from the exact store I physically bought it from (never heard of this rule) The associate then tells me he had been there since 8am and was needing to do closing duties. Ok, he's tired. I had to rush to the other store (South 1st and Slaughter) where they actually helped me do everything in under 20 minutes before they closed.

    This location has helped me numerous times over the years. Most recently, Matt helped me with a nasty battery issue, patiently spending hours trying different solutions until we arrived at a fix. I had a similar experience 2 years prior with David. This is definitely a trusted location with some of the best customer service I’ve ever experienced.
