- ABAmber BoydNov 12, 20251.0I went in for an oil change on a Thursday and they checked my battery 3x and told me it was weak and needed a new one. I told them mine should still be under warranty, which they looked up and confirmed I was under warranty until the end of December 2025. They told me it would be a free service so ce it's under warranty. I said it was fine to switch for a new one. The guy then spoke with his manager and came back and said "actually, if you aren't having any issues, you can wait". Since I had not had issues, I didn't get the battery replaced. Then, 3 days later on Sunday, it started acting up. I had to go to a different Valvoline and get it replaced on Monday. They wanted to sell me a battery but once they learned they weren't making any additional money from me, they changed their mind. I'd like to think I can trust my local mechanic. It seems this location takes advantage of female customers.
