- WDWalter “Eddie” DavisDec 29, 20255.0After multiple car issues during our Christmas Vacation trip to Colorado from Houston with Avis. Such as not having an SUV with 4 wheel drive and then giving us a 2 wheel drive with significant front alignment issues (IAH Airport) then giving us a 4 wheel drive in a much smaller vehicle (Dallas Love Airport) with chipped paint all over the vehicle and nearly bald tires. I would also call out that neither the Avis front counter personnel or call center personnel knew that AWD means “ All Wheel Drive” and I had to keep asking them to check AWD or 4 wheel drive and explain what that was. The Enterprise location in Amarillo came to the rescue with not only an SUV with 4 wheel drive but also it’s the first time I didn’t have to take a rental to the car wash myself which I do every time when renting with Avis. The personnel were friendly, helpful and even noticed that the first vehicle would need an oil change soon and since we were driving across state gave us another vehicle. They were also fully competent and knowledgeable in what features the vehicles had such as AWD and 4 Wheel Drive. Thank you so much Enterprise for literally saving our Christmas vacation. Although it was warm in Colorado there was some icy spots and we felt so much safer on the road having the option to turn on 4wheel A in the expedition. I have now cancelled my future Avis rentals even though it caused me to have a fee and replaced my next rental with Enterprise.

Was given the option of Nissan rogue or ram truck. Overall bad experience. This has happened multiple times and have learned even verifying won’t helps
