- BMByron McCallFeb 22, 20262.0Ok, so I know it's 1:30 am, but the bars are about to close on a Saturday night. (Sunday morning). There's no reason to take the entire roller grill apart to clean RIGHT NOW. There are about to be a lot of people closing down the bars headed home that are hungry. Or, like me, a long-haul driver that is only halfway through my drive and needs late night dinner. And nothing on the menu looks good. But I was really looking forward to some roller grill items that qt always has ready. Except not THIS qt, and it's the last one I'll be at on my way to Albuquerque. No. THIS qt's employees think taking apart the ENTIRE roller grill to clean one section at a time is the best idea. Instead of, you know, doing one section at a time and moving the food to the other ones until the ONE section is ready. And it's too early for the good breakfast items (the scramblers) to be on the menu for the kitchen, and there is zero food under the hot lights. Plus, they were in the kitchen complaining about how long the fryers take, so I didn't want to wait for mozzarella sticks or tater tots because then they would have been mad. Angry people do stuff to your food. Never piss off the people handling your food. Anyway, I'm still hungry, and if I'd known before I got fuel that I also wasn't going to be able to get hot food (nothing else sounded good at all), I wouldn't have gotten fuel here. I would have gone to one of the truck stops. Which now I can't afford to waste the rest of my 11 stopping again. Not like I can pull up to the door and pop in for a hot dog.
