- MKMustafa KarasolakJun 17, 20261.0This was one of the most disappointing car rental experiences I have ever had. I made my reservation through Expedia well in advance, received confirmation, and planned my entire trip around it. However, when I arrived at the Alamo/Enterprise desk at Çukurova Airport, I was informed that they would not honor the reservation for the BMW X1 I had booked. The reasons given were astonishing. First, I was told that because it was my first rental with the company, I was not eligible to rent a BMW X1. Then I was told that my airline ticket had to be for the same day as the vehicle pickup. Neither of these requirements was clearly disclosed during the booking process on Expedia. If these are indeed company policies, why are they not prominently displayed before customers complete their reservations? Customers make travel arrangements, budgets, and transportation plans based on the information provided at the time of booking. Introducing additional restrictions only after the customer arrives at the airport is unprofessional and unfair. What was even more frustrating was the apparent assumption that a customer can be denied a reserved vehicle based on arbitrary criteria rather than objective qualifications. I had a valid driver’s license, a valid payment method, and a confirmed reservation. Yet none of that seemed to matter. A reservation should mean something. If a company has hidden restrictions that prevent customers from receiving the vehicle they reserved, those restrictions should be clearly communicated upfront not revealed at the rental counter after the customer has already arrived. This experience resulted in wasted time, unnecessary stress, and a complete loss of confidence in the company. I cannot recommend this location to anyone and will think very carefully before using Alamo, Enterprise, or any affiliated brand again. If you value transparency, reliability, and having your confirmed reservation actually honored, I would strongly suggest considering other rental companies.
