- ACAshley CarterDec 4, 20251.0I can not recommend this Marina and resort. As a local born and raised in the area, I am very disappointed that corporate America has worked its “magic” on our local Marina. On the surface it’s shinny and pretty, what lake setting isn’t? Let’s take off the rose colored glasses, and talk shop. The focus at this resort is obviously the Marina and cabins as mentioned in many reviews. There is an rv resort that I would like to shine light on. If you would like to camp in an environment that is clickish, full of drama and gossip, this is your place. There are a few guests that run the show. It doesn’t matter if you keep to yourself or visit the Marina restaurant, they will make you feel uncomfortable and not welcomed. The staff on the surface is friendly. You can have conversations in person or email, but they will change the narrative quickly at a moments notice. I have an email stating personal life does not matter, and “it’s business.” Not kid and/or pet friendly during the week, and questionable on the weekend unless you fit in the perfect cookie cutter world the guests decided on that day. If you want to “keep up with the Jones” this is your place. They (staff and guests) run average guests out quickly. To all my local friends- stick with Bluegill! Corporate has once again taken community out of another spot on our beautiful Tim’s Ford Lake. As a small business owner that has been active in the chamber over the years in the area, and supporting local businesses, I’m so sad and disappointed at what is transpiring at Tim’s Ford Marina and Resort. So I can’t recommend visiting this location. Please don’t waste your time and money at this location unless you want to feel judged and uncomfortable.
