I got an oil change for my car (2020 with 50k miles) at Valvoline on Thursday. The next time I drove it, it misfired twice when I tried starting it so I took it to O’Reilys to have the computer scanned and it came back reading “Cylinder 1 misfire”. Upon inspection, there was obviously oil spilled close to the ignition coil pack that was never wiped off. I took my car back to Valvoline and was immediately dismissed after explaining the situation. They said there was nothing they could do and we asked if they could at least take a look. The guy pulled out the ignition coil and wiped it off on a paper towel and there was debris on it when he finished. Then three guys stood at the front of the car (the hood was still up) and talked about it. I was unable to hear their conversation. They came back and asked to see the printout from O’Reilys. They then told me that my car needed a tune-up at 50k and it was probably just some spark plugs that needed to be replaced. The tech stated that it was just a coincidence that my check engine light came on after they had worked on it. It felt like excuses and they just wanted to rush me out.

I had to ask to speak with the manager in which he informed Jeremiah to put the oil I asked for in . He then provided the service but had an attitude the entire time . He didn’t put air in my tires or any of the complimentary things you guys do. I am highly dissatisfied and will never return to this location. He then proceeded to type incorrect information into the system about my vehicle and record videos of my vehicle that I didn’t allow him to do.
