They were unable to check the alternator and I had to drive over to the Emory store to get it checked, which showed bad and got a replacement. I do realize that sometimes you can get bad parts but they are suppose to check these parts before sticking them on their selves to be purchase by the customer. Even though I can prove the alternator was the reason for the tow bills, they did not offer to refund amount of the alternator for the inconvenience.

They called the manager and he said not to, I drove to the next county over to another advance auto parts that had that alternator in stock and got it from them. I would recommend O'Reilly's auto parts, I just wish I knew better before. I won't be back to advance as long as I can help it.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
