I called to order some brakes for my Volvo, I usually order online but they weren't in stock, so I called to have them ordered. Ron answered the phone, I stated that I needed to order the brakes, he immediately cut me off and asked if I was a shop or an individual, I don't understand why that matters, I said individual. He then said can you come in to order them, didn't ask me for any of my information, or anything. I just said sure, and preceded to call O'Reilly's. I work second shift, and if he would have took 2 minutes to get my information and not be rude, he would have learned I wouldn't be come in till the next day. Done shopping here

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
