The Mechanic Spot opened our doors in 2004 with the goal of filling the gap for Nashville dealerships. Our reputation for quality quickly grew, and we became the go-to auto repair shop for both import and domestic dealerships. Soon we expanded to local truck and fleet maintenance. Now anyone can walk-in or drop off their company car, family vehicle, luxury vehicle, or daily driver for dealer-worthy quality auto repairs at prices you can afford!
Great mechanic shop in Nashville. I have brought my Benz and my truck for them to work on. One was a fuel filter and one was a full break replacement. I check the price range on AI and The Mechanic Spot's prices where right around the low to middle. Got both vehicles back when they said they would be done and the work was done correctly.

DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!! THEY PURPOSELY DAMAGED!!! WILL BE REPORTING TO BBB!!!!
I brought a vehicle in for a pre purchase exam for a second opinion on a vehicle that had cosmetic damage that I wanted to purchase from a collision repair shop to make sure there was no internal damage. I explained this to the front desk women who were very nice and pleasant. HOWEVER!!!!
They came back with $1500 in repairs that needed to the timing cover and gasket. There was also a charge of $650 to replace a CV axle shaft. Over $2100 total. When we took the car back to the owner, he was shocked. He had been working on the car for months and knew it inside and out. He agreed to replace the axle shaft for us at no charge. When he took the car apart, the axle shaft with only 70,000 miles on it was in good to mint condition with absolutely no wear. HOWEVER THERE WAS FRESH KNIFE SLICE to the rubber. The car had only been driven approximately 5 miles back and forth from the owners location to the shop. The axle area was incredibly clean and in good shape which indicated this had just happened. There was no oil or road dirt build up(which would be very indicative to the timing of the damage) to indicate this had been a long term issue. Also, under further inspection with the timing cover gasket…..the oil residue did not match the gravity flow of this being an issue……there was just “messy oil” by the cap cover to make it look a little suspicious. They were specifically trying to target two women seeking their professional service. I will try to upload the photos of the knife slice. Currently the car owner has them. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!!!
