I reserved a luxury SUV through Enterprise Exotic Car Rental online, where the quoted price was $529 for two days. When I arrived at the Nashville airport to pick up the car, the employee who assisted me seemed inexperienced and had trouble locating my reservation. He directed me to a Range Rover, but once inside, I found the passenger seat air bladder had exploded, making the vehicle unusable.
I returned to the desk and waited about 15 minutes before speaking with another representative, who said she was the Exotic Car representative. She told me there was only one vehicle available, which was not the car I had reserved. At that point, I agreed to take the available SUV. The vehicle ran fine during the rental.
However, when I returned it on Saturday, the attendant told me the total charge was $1,300. Shocked, I was directed to the desk, where the manager explained that Exotic rentals are “different” from Enterprise and therefore cost more. This was never communicated to me during the reservation or pickup process. The manager adjusted the bill to $900, citing an unexplained over-mileage charge.
The lack of communication, the unusable first vehicle, the long wait time, and the unexpected, unexplained charges left me extremely dissatisfied.
