I went to Gerber Collision after hitting a deer. To be clear, the actual repair work was good—the bumper repair and paint came out great. This 1-star review is not about the quality of the repair, but about how this situation was handled afterward.
First, Gerber damaged my wheel well trim, which was not part of the original damage. When I pointed it out, I was told to “let the sun re-adhere the adhesive.” The problem is, this is a snap-in part, not an adhesive part. It ultimately took over a month for them to correct something they caused.
Second, and more frustrating, my car was returned with plastic debris, parts from my vehicle (including headlight panel pieces), dirt, food crumbs, and general trash left inside. This was especially unacceptable because one week prior, I had my interior professionally restored for $450+. That work was completely undermined.
Even after I explained how unacceptable this was, Gerber never reached out to offer to have the interior re-cleaned or to make things right. On top of that, I noticed vape residue/stains on the inside of the windshield, which should never happen in a customer’s vehicle.
Bottom line:
If you want decent repair work but don’t care about respect for your vehicle, cleanliness, or accountability, this might be the place for you. But if you’ve just had your car professionally detailed and don’t want it returned as a complete mess, I would strongly reconsider using Gerber Collision.
