I had placed an order online, but upon receiving it, I realized that it didn't come with everything I needed. Kim helped locate the parts quickly (I wouldn't have even expected them to be in stock!) and double checked to make sure the parts were accurate for my vehicle. Thanks Kim for such a positive experience!

- JCJacob CrawfordNov 7, 20251.0I needed to return a starter that I had purchased erroneously. Turned out it was just my positive battery cable needed to be cleaned. When I purchased this starter, the associate let me know that I wouldn’t need a receipt if I had to return it because it was under my phone number in the system. I knew that already because I have been dealing with auto parts stores for about 30 years now. And worked at one for five years. But when I went back to return it, the general manager of this location informed me that they have a “new policy” Which meant for me that they could not return my part. I said to him that I knew that was not correct and then asked if he was going to work with me or not?. He then said that he was not going to work with me. So I told him that I would take it to a different store and return it there where they have decent customer service And not a blow hard general manager who’s lack of real control in life is extremely obvious. When I went to the new store in Columbia Tennessee they took it back no problem. They said it was easy to look up the information in the computer and they didn’t understand why “Rob Nunya” wouldn’t do it. But they did explain to me that he was the general manager and he doesn’t like to do anything for anyone Unless it puts money into his own pocket. Save yourself money if not time by just going to Columbia until they fire this sad excuse for a parts man.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
