  Buddy did an amazing job! The staff was also great. Very nice, fast, he was very detailed about everything he was doing. Awesome location. Highly recommend. Everything is clean ! From the parking lot, bathroom, break rooms. 10/10 across the board🤸‍♀️

  Avoid penske at all costs. I am a First time truck renter. I did my due diligence of booking a reservation almost 2 months in advance since I knew my moving date. They had the truck ready but I couldn't pass there "SheerID" driver's license verification. Worst thing is, it wouldn't even tell me why I got turned away. They said to go to the DMV to get it resolved. Guess what? I have a Texas driver's license and we are currently in Memphis Tennessee. How am i possibly going to get a truck that i expected to have today? My belongings arent going to move themselves. Answer: go to Uhaul after Penske wastes an hour of my time and spend an extra $200 just to get a truck the day of from Uhaul. What is the point of a reservation and "better fleets" if you don't tell me anything about a license check??? Especially if me and my brother both fail the check it says tough luck buddy with no guidance to get out of the hole PENSKE put me in. I know my ID is valid too since uhaul also did an online verification check and it came back clean. To the penske workers: yall are nice but clearly not helpful. After my brother and I got turned away due to the same issue, they asked if i have anyone else willing to drive the truck... WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN??? It's a 6 hour one way move. If I wanted someone else to drive I wouldn't be at penske and instead hiring a full service moving company. They also said the issue could have been caused by my brother and i being indirectly linked to someone who has stolen from penske in the past. What does that even have to do with me???? Plus, my family would never do that. This SheerID system is broken and led to the WORST customer service experience IN MY LIFE. Please get rid of your stupid SheerID system :)

  Long story short - Penske, fix your SheerID drivers license verification system. What good does a nicer moving truck or good rate do if I make a reservation one month in advance and get turned away the day of and still need a truck rental? Waste of time, thanks for nothing. Red flag: A week prior to today, we were notified our local Penske pickup location on our reservation day would be closed. No compensation, just a "go to one of our other locations and mess up your plans". My brother and I go to this other location expecting a quick ID verification and truck pickup. This could not be further from the truth. Penske uses something called "SheerID" to verify drivers licenses. Both of us got an "Adverse Action" error. This completely takes away the power of the employees at the reservation counter. They tried some workarounds, but simply put, an "Adverse Action" error means you will not be renting from Penske that day. Now, you may be wondering what caused my brother and I to recieve an "Adverse Action" error. Good question, we are still wondering the same thing. The employees were on our side: your IDs are real, nothing is wrong with your IDs, your age (23) is not a problem, etc. When we call the SheerID support line (which claims to give more context on the rejection), it is an automated line that says "we are not doing callbacks at this time, everything is handled through email". EXCUSE ME?! Are we serious right now? I can't get a reason for my "Adverse Action" error to see if it was something wrong with the system and get something done so we can continue with our truck rental?? I even called the general Penske support hotline where you can manage reservations. Even less helpful than the in-person employees and much more aggravating. I was told that I would need to take the "Adverse Action" to the DMV and they would be able to tell me what's wrong with my drivers license... You do realize that's what your SheerID system is supposed to do, right? I need the truck today, that's why I made a reservation. If I go to the DMV, I'm going to lose even more time than the hour of my time you've wasted--and you all will be closed by the time I'm done. Unreal. My brother and I ended up going to rent a UHAUL truck. The reservation and pickup was seamless, their ID verification was also through a system instead of a person, but we did not get rejected. If we were rejected from UHAUL, this review would not be 1 star. There is just something wrong with Penske. You waste our time, I'm going to let you hear it. Take it to heart, don't screw your customers over. You personally costed me $200 since we couldn't negotiate a better rate in advance. Again, what's the point of a better maintained fleet of vehicles or better rates than the competition if you're going to pull something like this. This is not the way to treat first time customers, people should steer clear unless they know 100% they will not get turned away. First time truck renters, just negotiate a better rate for a UHAUL truck and keep your peace of mind.
