- CJCharles JonesApr 17, 20265.0I went to gas up car run errands was planning on stopping at Manager Jason’s Advance Auto to pickup Bug RainX 2 Gallon windshield wash for $10 which is a good deal. On the way I had a mishap hit Road Hazard & Busted R Front tire 🛞 As I was close I drove on to Advance Auto Shop with busted tire. I made my purchase & asked if anyone could help me change out my tire w spare. My Guardian Angel was Jason the Young man who is the shop Manager there. I said I’d pay anyone to change it for me but he would not take my money just told me to pay it forward. That is good old fashioned customer service & appreciation. God Bless Him 🙏. Before Retirement I was a HR Hiring Manager for a Fortune 500 Corporation. I can truthfully say that Mr Jason a tremendous asset to the Advance Auto Corporation.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
