I went this past Sunday, got a quick oil change by a efficient if not overly friendly staff, and went on my way with no complaints. Two mornings later, my car wouldn't start. I popped the hood, and my battery was absolutely covered in corrosion. I saw the gentleman changing my oil do the battery check, and I also saw them flip something on the screen that came back as "red" to "green" on their check list. I should have questioned that in hindsight, but trusted the team to know more about cars than me. However, given their 18 point inspection and the level of corrosion on my battery, the right thing to do would have been to bring it to my attention. I likely would have had them replace the battery right then and there, instead of nearly being stranded in a parking lot at 7AM, if not for a passerby willing to give me a jump to make it to the nearest service station. I'm disappointed that they just changed my oil and waved me through, especially given the historically great level of service I've received at this location.

I supplied my own oil and oil filter, expressed my desire to not get any of my fluids checked or any other service except drain the oil and put oil back in. For less than 15 minutes of work, I expected to pay $35-$40 for the quick and convient service but was charged $52.99 for this oil change. A regular full synthetic oil change is around $109.00 here, so even with supplying my own oil; I still had to pay more than I thought was reasonable for this service.

I waited between 5 and 10 minutes without any acknowledgement and I know they saw me when I pulled in because I made eye contact. No one came out and motioned for me to pull into one of their 4 lanes and while I waited, other vehicles pulled in behind me. I finally left and went to the Merchants road location and dam what a difference, they know something about customer service! Awesome job Merchants road valvoline!
