I asked "is this not advance auto??" thinking I might have somehow called someone's personal number. And he says it is. ?? Then why were you hanging up ??!

- DSDebbie SmithSep 28, 20251.0I stopped to get my battery tested but the guy behind the counter was on his phone and barely acknowledged me. In his sullen personality he said I was second in line, " He was waiting for his co-worker to get out of the bathroom." So?? I think if he was a little more pleasant I would have waited but obviously he didn't care if he was there or not nor did he appear to care if they get any business. Needless to say I got the battery checked somewhere else and will purchase a battery at this rival auto parts store in the near future.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
