Had a flat tire while traveling. They patched it in reasonable time and there was no charge! Unbelievable

After going to several places that were open on a Sunday for tire repair (screw too near the wall for a patch), I finally found someplace that would help. Many places said they didn't have any stock in my tire size and a few wouldn't replace the tire unless I bought a full set. Finally, I found a person of reason. Granted, I need new tires but I still have about 8-10 thousand miles before it's critical. Since I only put about 900 miles a month on my tires, I'm not in a danger zone yet. This is exactly the agreement I found with Free Service on Roan in JC. I'm an adjunct professor so I make very little, I don't have a thousand dollars or more to throw around for a new set of tires. Thankfully FS sold me a tire at the best price they could. I was there less than an hour and everyone was very nice. When I'm financially ready to get a full set of tires, I'll definitely go there! Thanks everyone for your help!

Fraudsters. My girlfriend found a deal online for buy one get one tires with a bunch of free services for about $350. When she got there, they refused to honor the free services, even though she showed them the screenshot, and told her her bill would be $500. Then, they said they didn't have the tires she selected and tried to upsale her something else for $100 more each. She refused, and they had the proper tires brought in from another location. Later, a technician came and told her that all her valve stems were corroded and seized shut and that they had broken one trying to remove it. They went so far as to say they were going to have to slash the tires to let the air out. This was all a lie. Presumably, they intended to trap her there and force her to pay $80 a piece for new valve stems and tire pressure sensors. After pressing him, he said they hadn't actually started any work, so we were able to take her car back and leave. They hadn't broken anything and the valves were not seized. Avoid this shop at all costs.

Free Service Tire has good sales on their tires, which drew me in. I have gone to the one on Roan St in Johnson City, TN numerous times over the years. They were helpful and polite and dod good work. The only thing I didn’t like is they told me it would take up to 90 minutes to mount the tires. But, once they knew I was going to leave and come back, it took 4 hrs.
