- JRJennifer ReynoldsDec 5, 20251.0My experience with this specific store was quite disappointing to say the least. On 12/3/25 upon leaving work, my windshield wipers began to tangle up with each other and clang against my windshield violently. There was a cold rain falling, not heavy, but not mist either. Enough rain that without the benefit of my wipers I was unable to adequately or safely navigate my way home through rush hour traffic. I made a decision to pull into the local AutoZone store to purchase replacement wipers. I hated to ask given the weather but knew I would require someone's assistance to install them so that I would be able to drive home. The store person I dealt with was a middle-aged white man (I wasn't able to catch his name, and he did not provide me with a receipt for my purchase) who had dark hair, a mustache & beard and wore glasses. I don't know if he himself had a bad day, he was tired and at the end of his shift or just hated his job in general, but I found him to be intentionally less than helpful from the minute I explained my issue to him. Once I selected the replacement wipers and completed my purchase, I asked if there was someone who could assist me with installing them so that I could drive home. He asked if it was raining and I confirmed it was, but that it was a light rain, not a downpour. He stated he really didn't want to go out and get soaked to the bone and I did understand that, and I explained I would not ask if weren't out of shear necessity. As we walked towards the door he asked his counterpart about the rain, he confirmed it was a light rain. The gentleman that was assisting me then stated, "I'm gonna be pissed off if I get out here and get soaking wet." Needless to say, the rain didn't do anything to improve his attitude or customer service skills. I didn't let it be known up front, but I fully intended to tip this gentleman for his assistance, especially given the weather, but after suffering through his bad attitude and the way it left me feeling, I didn't feel it would be appreciated anyway. I will no longer patronize AutoZone of Humboldt, TN. and I wonder if this had happened to his daughter, wife, sister or mother and they were treated the way he acted towards me, if he'd be ok with that?

I went in to buy a new Duralast Gold battery, and the store employee who helped me went above and beyond. They were very caring, friendly, and helpful, taking the time to install the new battery quickly and making sure everything was working perfectly before I left. Excellent customer service and a great attitude! It really made my day. I’ll definitely be coming back for future auto needs!
