I went here to get breathalyzer switched from one. Vehicle to another vehicle I have had this done multiple times at this location. We come from out of state and bring both vehicles to them they have never had an issue with removing from one vehicle calling us and us bringing second vehicle to them however this time there was a new employee his name was Chase he was extremely Rude from the moment I arrived I let him know to call us and we would bring second vehicle when they were done removing from first vehicle he got rude with me and told me I had to drop both vehicles off I informed him we had a 2 week old baby with us who is breast fed and drive from out of state I asked him if it was ok for him to contact me when done with first car. He continues to act extremely rude we told him it was never an issue before had we known that we would have attempted to make arrangements however with breastfeeding newborn your limited on options. I’m wondering did he just want us to walk around town or sit there at their location for hours. After I realized how upset it made him we went and ate then immediately brought vehicle there and waited in parking lot we were there for over 7 hours my husband had to keep going in and asking them if they were ready for second vehicle. They finally got the second vehicle we left one other time to use restroom grab a snack and change baby never being gone for over 30 minutes drove back there and sat for hours with a newborn they came to our car right before close of business day and informed us they could not complete the work after having scheduled it for 8 am and having us sit their all day with a newborn baby. This place is usually so friendly but this time it seemed they forgot we was a paying customer paying 100s of dollars for this to be completed and treated us with such disdain. Then this man proceeded to tell Intoxalock I was out of compliance for not leaving both cars there which wasn’t true not to mention again this was the third time having this done and it’s never been an issue. So he told into locking was out of compliance when I had no clue that I was supposed to leave both vehicles until upon my arrival at this point hours from home with a breastfeeding baby. I would assume beings customer they would do what they could to work with us and our circumstances instead of treating us terribly then going out of there was to cause me more issues with Intoxalock. I would not recommend this location to anyone he could have caused me issues with my drivers license and treated me and my newborn like 2nd class citizens instead of valued customers after me using this place for years.

I originally only gave two stars because the software is inflexible and probably vintage 1986.
The random rolling tests are beyond the capability of my 87 year-old father. They really are not necessary for our situation which is a voluntary installation to keep my father from going to get food after he starts his afternoon devotion to wine.
I wish Intoxalock could update their software to allow some flexibility for voluntary installations as I really would love to have this on my dad's car - unfortunately, random rolling tests are probably a greater risk than him driving after drinking.
I was very pleased with Intoxalock's customer service and their understanding of my situation.
Frequently Asked Questions About Intoxalock Ignition Interlock
How does an interlock device work?
An ignition interlock device (IID) is a small breathalyzer installed in your vehicle to prevent it from starting if alcohol is detected on your breath. Before driving, you'll blow into the device. If your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) is below the programmed limit, the car starts. Periodic retests occur during your trip to ensure continued compliance. To read more on Intoxalock, you can read our ignition interlock device guide.
What is the cost of an ignition interlock device?
The installation of an ignition interlock device, often called a car breathalyzer, typically costs between $70 and $150. This one-time fee is paid at the start of your lease and covers the service center's labor to install the device in your vehicle. Payment is made directly to the service center at the time of installation. For more on cost breakdowns, you can read our cost of ignition interlock device guide.
How do I use my interlock device?
Using an IID is simple. To start your vehicle, blow into the device as directed. If the device detects no alcohol, your car will start. You may be prompted for "rolling retests" while driving, where you’ll blow into the device again to confirm compliance. How-to videos are also available on the Intoxalock mobile app.

What happens if I fail a breath test on my ignition interlock device?
If you fail a breath test, your vehicle will not start, and the device will log the event. Depending on your state’s regulations, multiple failed tests may trigger additional penalties, such as lockouts or reporting to your monitoring authority. Intoxalock devices allow you to retest after a short wait if alcohol is no longer detected. Always follow your state’s guidelines to remain compliant.
Can I install an ignition interlock device in a vehicle I don’t own?
Yes, in most cases, you can install an ignition interlock device in a vehicle you regularly drive, even if you’re not the registered owner. However, the vehicle owner must provide consent for the installation. Intoxalock works with you and the owner to ensure compliance with state regulations and the successful setup of the device.
